What is Castle Bridge?

Castle Bridge is a progressive, preK-5th grade public elementary school in District 6 of New York City that provides students with a high-quality, dual language, project-based, arts-infused curriculum that develops a joy of learning, and the skills and passion for intellectual inquiry and engagement. Our classrooms are inclusive and integrated; every classroom has special education students, and we set aside 10% of our seats for children of incarcerated parents. Our families reflect many ethnicities, cultures, structures, and socio-economic backgrounds. We believe that every family’s access to and voice in our diverse educational environment is what makes it so rich.

What is Friends of Castle Bridge?

Friends of Castle Bridge is a 501c3 charitable organization created to raise funds for Castle Bridge by engaging foundations and the larger Harlem, Washington Heights, and Inwood communities in supporting the school. Friends of Castle Bridge is run by a board of directors comprised of parents and guardians of current Castle Bridge students.
